5 Apps that are Perfect for Listers Like Me

There's just something so oddly satisfying about making lists. And there are a few organization apps and games that are perfect for doing this, so I guess I'm not the only one who feels this way... right?

Well, in case I'm not, here's a few of my go-tos:

1) Fight List

This is a game where you're given a category (i.e., countries of the world or female singers that go by one name), and you list as many items as you can think of in an allotted time period (I think, 30 seconds). The rarer the item is (i.e., listing Tajikistan as a country instead of Canada or Cher as a singer instead of Beyonce), the more points you get. Unfortunately, you do have to wait around for someone else to play his/her turn. Fortunately, there's an unlimited number of games you can play at once.

2) Notes

Don't underestimate the power of the notes app. It's not just one row of numbers or bullet points. You can indent to make sub-lists, as well as make tables like you do in Microsoft Word. And you don't even have to download this; it's already on screen one of your phone (and tablet, I think).

3) Pinterest

For those of you who don't know what Pinterest is, it's "a visual discovery engine for finding ideas like recipes, home and style inspiration, and more." In other words, you create boards and "pin" pictures that you want to include. When you think about it, it's a visual list. And it is helpful; I've come up with many vacation ideas simply from this social media site.

4) Reminders

I think this app is automatically included like notes. But, if it isn't, I strongly recommend getting it. You simply list everything you need to remember (i.e., due dates and appointments) and, if you want, set it up to pop up on your screen at a specific date and time. And I'm pretty sure you can schedule as far in advance as you desire.

5) Stop

Like Fight List, it's a categories game. Unlike Fight List, you are provided with five different categories at once. You are given a letter by the other player and you have to come up with an item that starts with that letter for each category. The time limit is based on how long the other player took to complete their turn. You can play up to five games at once, unless you watch an ad or actually pay for more games.

Oh, wait. Speaking of price... I forgot to mention: All of these apps are FREE.
