50 Facts About Me—Liv the Lister

As I state in my profile, I’ve always been a “lister.” It’s how I make many decisions. It’s how I organize my life. And it’s a quick way to process information, which sparked my idea to start a blog that consists of lists on a variety of topics.
I’ve written blog-like posts before. For two
semesters, I wrote for The Odyssey Online and one of my articles was a measly 23 facts about myself. So, why not use this method in order to introduce
myself and Lists to "Liv" By simultaneously?
Here I go...
2) Almost-Hometown
= Lafayette, Louisiana
3) I’m
an ISTJ-turned-ISFJ.
4) My
feet are always cold, so I’m rarely barefoot.
5) If
I had to become an animal, I’d be a pterodactyl. Not only could I fly, but I could
see everyone’s reactions when they spot a supposedly extinct creature.
6) Those candy corn pumpkins that they only sell around Halloween should be in stores all year. They’re so darn good.
7) The first story I remember writing was called “Annie’s First Haircut.” I was around seven years old and wrote it on my mother’s sticky notes.

back of my right calf was mildly frostbitten after I fell asleep with an ice
pack on. Oops.
15) My most embarrassing moment was wiping out on a stairwell at 15th Street Station in Philly. It managed to grab everyone’s attention.

I was in middle school, I wore this ring that turned my finger green.
17) I didn’t know if I was truly claustrophobic until I had to get my first MRI at age 17. The answer is yes—yes, I am.
19) Genealogy fascinates me.
20) My vision is 20/20 (or extremely close to it). I’m very grateful.
21) I always have the AC on. Even during winter in Philadelphia.
22) Honestly,
I’m in my own political party.
23) If
I hadn’t attended Texas Christian University for undergrad, I probably would’ve gone to
either Louisiana State University or Loyola University New Orleans.

I hadn’t attended Drexel University for grad school, I probably would’ve gone to DePaul
University.
25) Who
Dat Nation—no matter where I live. Geaux Saints!
26) I
like peanut butter, but not jelly.
27) Before
I die, I hope to write at least one novel and one memoir.
28) My
first tooth didn’t come in until I was 11 months old. Thus, my 12-year-old molars didn’t come in until I was nearing age 15.
29) I’m
obsessed with Pinterest. It’s the most used app on my phone.
30) A tin barrel once hit my car while I was driving into Dallas on I-30. Miraculously, I continued driving without incident.
31) On a great night, I fall asleep within an hour. On a horrendous night, I watch the sun rise and then finally pass out.
33) I
rarely wear heels. My go-to shoes (besides sneakers) are ballet flats.
34) If you don’t like Blue Bell ice cream, you’re wrong. It’s the best brand by far.
35) There’s
a tiny scar on my right elbow.
36) I’m a book hoarder but, with everything else, I try to be a minimalist.
37) The
first concert I attended was Hilary Duff… and now I feel elderly.

Joke I Made Up: “What kind of swing makes you sleepy?” “A tire swing!” *Insert
drum noises here*

have two concentrations within my bachelor’s degree—nonfiction prose and
publications & communications.
40) No
cop has ever pulled me over.
41) However,
I did get a parking ticket once. PSA to TCU Freshmen: If there are signs that
state “FS Only,” it refers to the faculty/staff and not freshmen students.
43) During
my college years, I lived in three dorms and four apartments.
44) My
friends and I won the costume contest at our middle school’s Halloween dance,
two years in a row.
45) I’ve
flown first class twice, one of which I was too young to remember.
46) A
large amount of my studying took place at Chick-fil-A and Shake Shack.
47) I
was able to meet three of my great-grandparents.
48) When I go to Disney World, I must visit the Magic Kingdom first. And, for dinner, I usually end up in Epcot.
49) Liv
is just one of my many nicknames.
50) I
hope I’ll have the discipline to write on this blog consistently.
