18 Pinterest Board Ideas

I may have mentioned this already, but Pinterest is my favorite social media app. Really, it's sort of like making lists but with pictures. Though sometimes, I have a mental block when it comes to what board to invent next. Therefore, I'd thought I'd prevent others from having the same problem:


1) Blog
You can compile ideas for what to post, as well as find your favorite blogs by other people. Also, I once had a board that had information on the best times to post, popular hashtags, etc. 

2) Books
For those not already on Goodreads, this can be a good replacement for a reading list. And, for the most part, you can find the synopsis of the book by clicking on the pin's link.

3) Business
What really is "business casual?" Are there any items you can use to jazz up your cubicle? Or, on a serious note, what questions will employers ask in an interview? You can find the answers to all that here.

4) Crafts
Etsy isn't the only place for crafters. You can get plenty of ideas from people across the globe, as well as pin your own results.

5) Fashion
My advice would be to look up the accounts of your favorite stores, dedicate a section to each store, and start pinning. That way, you'll know exactly where to buy each outfit.

6) Free (and Reduced) Stuff
Are there clothing or bookstores having sales? Are there craft supplies you can get for free? Keep a list of all them here to save money.

7) Gift Ideas
You may know that you're getting your little nieces dresses or your mother that new blouse she's been wanting. But what about your boyfriend? Or your finicky BFF? You can discover something you never would've thought of.

8) Home
There's many aspects to a home: different types of rooms, furniture, decor, necessities... Pinterest is where you can find them all in one place.

9) Humor
Memes and gifs aren't the only funny pins out there. You can also have jokes, humorous quotes, facts listing unfortunate mishaps of others, anything that makes you smile. It comes in handy on a bad day.

10) Items You're Selling
Remember to include an accurate picture, description and, most importantly, the price (especially if it's cheaper than the competition).

11) Life Hacks
This can be anything from a list of excuses to hang up the phone on someone to the easiest method on getting your grocery bags out of the car.

12) Parties
Do you need Halloween costume ideas? Or do you have no idea how to do your daughter's Frozen party? Pinterest has those solutions and more.

13) Pet Supplies
You can find out which pet food is truly the healthiest. Or, you can just browse the cute accessories and toys. Or figure out what to name your furry, feathery, or scaly friend. 

14) Quotes
This is a perfect site for a literary nerd looking for book quotes, a broken-hearted girl looking for uplifting quotes, or a wannabe macho man looking for motivational quotes. 

15) Recipes
In addition to adding your own, you'll conjure up an online cookbook by compiling others' instructions on how to make entrees, desserts, alcoholic beverages, and more.

16) Travel
I have found amazing places that I never knew existed before. You're set, whether you're looking into Disney theme parks, Caribbean beaches, or European countries.

17) Wedding
Every female on Pinterest has probably looked up wedding dresses at some point. There's also plenty of ideas

18) Wish List
I used Pinterest for my Christmas wish list last year. I was able to search for the items I already wanted, plus found additional items to put down.
